The 2025 RMJALL Junior A Draft is in the books, and we couldn’t be more excited about the talented players joining the Raiders organization. With nine new faces selected on February 3, the future of the Raiders looks bright as we continue building a championship-caliber team. Let’s take a look at our newest draft picks.
Round 1, Pick 3 – Asher Leukefeld (Offense)
Standing at 6’3 and 192 pounds, Asher Leukefeld brings size, strength, and offensive firepower to the Raiders. He previously played for the Hoks, where he proved himself as a dominant presence on the field, and we can't wait to see him in Raiders colors.
Round 2, Pick 7 – Dallon McAllister (Offense)
A skilled offensive threat, Dallon McAllister comes to us from Innisfail. Though smaller in stature at 5’6 and 130 pounds, he plays with incredible speed and vision, making him a dangerous playmaker. He made waves with Red Deer, and we know he’ll bring that same energy to our squad.
Round 3, Pick 11 – Grayson Bateman (Offense)
Another strong offensive addition, Grayson Bateman, is a 6’2, 180-pound forward from Calgary. He previously played for the Sabercats, where he showcased his skill and athleticism, making him a great fit for the Raiders.
Round 5, Pick 19 – Simon Forgeron (Defense)
At 6’2 and 185 pounds, Simon Forgeron is a force on defense. He played for the Axemen, demonstrating grit and determination, using his size and physicality to shut down opponents. We’re thrilled to add his defensive prowess to our lineup.
Round 6, Pick 23 – Cash Schnurer (Offense)
Cash Schnurer, formerly with the Axemen, is a versatile offensive player. At 5’5 and 140 pounds, he relies on speed, agility, and precision to create scoring chances. His tenacity and quick decision-making will make him a valuable asset.
Round 7, Pick 27 – Logan Newhook (Offense)
A skilled offensive talent from Okotoks, Logan Newhook is a dynamic playmaker who showcased his talents with the Hoks. At 5’8 and 165 pounds, he brings excellent footwork and lacrosse IQ to the team.
Round 8, Pick 31 – Colton Cox (Defense)
Colton Cox, standing at 5’11 and 165 pounds, is a solid defensive presence. He previously played for U17 A Red Deer, where his defensive skills and adaptability helped strengthen his team's back end.
Round 9, Pick 35 – Iain Charchuk (Position TBD)
Details on Iain Charchuk’s stats and position are still incoming, but we’re excited to welcome him to the team. We know he’ll bring strong dedication and work ethic to our roster.
Round 10, Pick 39 – Josh Newell (Position TBD)
Another late-round steal, Josh Newell rounds out our draft class. More details to come, but he’s an exciting addition to our growing lineup.
With a mix of offensive firepower and defensive strength, this draft class adds incredible depth to our roster. We’re eager to see these young players develop and make their mark as Raiders. Welcome to the family, and let’s get to work!
Stay tuned for updates as we prepare for the upcoming season. Go Raiders!
