MINTO CUP 2026: CALGARY TAKES CENTRE STAGE IN CANADA'S LACROSSE LEGACY

December 19, 2026 - Calgary, AB - The Calgary Raiders are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the 2026 Minto Cup, Canada’s National Junior A Lacrosse Championship, at Max Bell Centre from August 16–23, 2026.

The Minto Cup stands as one of the most prestigious and historic events in Canadian lacrosse, bringing together the nation’s top Junior A teams and the next generation of elite athletes. Hosting this championship in Calgary is a tremendous honour and an exciting milestone for our program, our volunteers, and the entire Alberta lacrosse community.

“Our lacrosse community is energized, passionate, and ready to host an unforgettable national championship,” says Andrew McBride, General Manager of the Raiders. “We’re excited to welcome the nation to our home arena and shine a spotlight on these incredible young athletes.”

“This is more than a tournament - it’s a celebration of the sport’s history, culture, and community,” adds Marie-eve McDonaugh, Chair of the 2026 Minto Cup Organizing Committee. “We’re proud to welcome teams, families, and fans from across Canada to Calgary next summer. The energy and support here will make this a truly memorable championship.”

Throughout the week, fans can look forward to elite-level competition, exciting game-day entertainment, community involvement opportunities, and a continued celebration of Indigenous lacrosse heritage.
